Bio / Comments: | As
one of the pioneers of DC's house music scene, DJ Dub aka James D. Graham,
has been a nightclub dj for over 25 years, Dj Dub's contributions are too numerous
to list them all in this brief summary. However, a brief summary of some of
the highlights sheds some light on this matter. From founding the first warehouse
party here in DC, to his WPGC radio mixshow (After-Hours), being the assistant
director to the O.M.A.P. record pool, dj residencies at Safari nightclub (before
it became the Chamber of Sound), Tracks DC, Badlands, Modern, and Mei N Yu to
name a select few, to his more recent role as one of the co-owners of DJ Hut,
DJ Dub has touched the lives of party people, dancers, djs past and present,
and music lovers in our historically rich nightlife culture. His modest and
humbleness prevents many of us from knowing the true extent of the magnitude
of his contributions, but the depth of his knowledge on the music and the history
of our scene here speaks volumes.
