-> Bio / Comments:	BIO OF DJ LORI...Indiana TRULY first lady DJ, spinning in the areas of Chicago, IL and NW-Indiana region! ...:STARTED:...In 1986, DJ Lori had one goal in mind: to be the best a female nightclub DJ can be, for herself. All others? That came after. She purchased her own turntables, mixer and several crates of 12 vinyls from another female DJ friend of hers from Chicago. While working full-time and attending college, she discovered her interest to dj, dedicating her other free time solely to practicing her turntables in her lovable attic apartment. After several complaints from her downstairs landlord about the jungle music, she moved to a larger apartment and while browsing at a dj record store one day, DJ Lori was discovered in 1986 by two male DJs. From there, she introduced to them to her smooth mixing style and was instantly a hit. (Being a natural came easy to this tom-boy at heart!) Still maintaining her feminine side without sacrificing nor sabotaging her sexuality, she proved that she was respected for her nightclub work. She quickly gained attention in the area for her nightclub style. ..:HER TALENT:...Adapting quickly to the ever-changing trends in music styles, she proved her mixing talent was something to talk about. Hip-Hop, Hard-House, Progressive, Techno, Euro, Freestyle-Heartthrob are just a few of the music style you can hear her booming throughout the neighborhood! Having the ability to adapt quickly to the everchanging music trends, she is able to blend all styles for non-stop dancing. People seek to watch her spin and DJs are often seen looking over her shoulders and listening to the new mixes (only available by her!) of club favorites that she burns on the turntables or mixing CD player. ...:HER BEST KEPT SECRET:...Many don't know, to this day, of her disability, having been born with a hearing loss of over 60% with tone-deafness, it is astonishing to know this lady DJ does not necessarily need a monitor to mix with. ...:GROWING STATUS:...Over the years, she maintained her status as the queen of female DJs in the south suburban areas of Illinois/Indiana and is told repeatedly by her fans and friends to take her talent to Chicago. Although very out-spoken but being somewhat shy (and cute!)(a true GEMINI) and ever so confident of her own abilities but never one to blow her own horn, not until the last two years after constant feedback from strangers and fans did she realize her full potential. Many remember her from her starting point as the ONLY resident DJ at Images for 5 years in the early 1990's and earned her...yea, she's good! ...:Her Most Unusual Moment:...After the love of her life found her, she married her Cuban best friend, Luis in 1998. Did she throw down at her own wedding? You have to ask?! Of course! With the itch to mix that never goes away, throwing down her own mini-mix, her reception rocked with her bridal court dominating the floor with their break-dancing moves. It was the first time her very traditional family heard her spin and hooting could be heard throughout the reception! ...:Residency:...Currently working as Head Resident DJ at Longshots, she morphs this sports bar on Thursdays into a nightclub by drawing in an consistent crowd every week. With this, she drew a recent newspaper review in the region's local newspaper as well as adding to the famous and well-known Chicago-Scene Magazine.
