Few Words for The Guys |
- Please don't
think that being male means that it is okay for you to walk the streets at night,
especially alone. Statistically, you are far more likely than females to be the
victim of a violent crime, especially of homicide. Height, weight, and muscles
are no match for a gun or a knife or even a dude with more height, weight, and
muscles. Yes, females have the misfortune of being at risk for rape, but, I think
most people would rather lose their innocence and dignity than their life. Be
careful.
- If
you're in a crowded club, don't start a fight. There are so many instances where
innocent people get hurt or have their fun interrupted because two guys have some
little beef with each other and all hell breaks loose. It is especially unwise
to provoke someone who is intoxicated on any kind of substance because these people
aren't using their heads. And, for God's sake, if you're 5'5 and weigh 130 pounds,
do not try to challenge someone 6'2 and 200. Please, additionally, realize, that
most ladies look upon two guys fighting in a club as boorish assholes and not
Superheroes.

Few Words for The Ladies |
- Understand
that if you go home with a guy you met at a club, anything could happen. You are
likely to at least be propositioned for sex and there is a small possiblilty you
could be raped or harmed in other ways. And please don't be naive about this.
Just because a guy is dressed nice, looks clean cut, throws you creative lines,
or talks highly of his mama doesn't mean he's a big old sweetheart.
- If you do go
home with the guy and he tells you that he and/or a friend will take you home...pick
one..in an hour/later tonight/tomorrow morning/next Friday...prepare to be stranded.
Also, prepare for him to maybe not take you exactly where he told you he would.
- If you can
avoid carrying a purse or bag, please do so. Carrying one is like advertising:
Here's all my money and valuables stuffed into one compartment. Please rob me!
- Understand
that you are not obligated to talk to or dance with someone just because they
ask. You have every right, just like guys, to control who you socialize with.
And, please ignore anyone who is rude to you, be it the carful of losers screaming
"hey baby" or the weird guy who grabs you by the arm instead of asking you to
dance. You are not a "bitch" for walking away.
